Meet the Founders
Lotus Counseling of Montana was founded by Dr. Jeffrey K. Ellens, a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience, and Jennifer Boling, Lotus’ CFO, Operations, and Billing Director. With offices based in Bozeman and also serving other parts of Montana via telehealth, we started Lotus Counseling to deliver something all too rare in mental health care these days: a highly personalized, relationship-first experience from the very first contact.
From your first call or intake message, we will work to thoughtful match you with a clinician whose training, approach, and availability fit your needs; an intake that listens for practical barriers (scheduling, family, work, insurance); and collaborative planning that balances evidence-based treatment with real-world priorities. As a clinician-and-CFO team, we pair deep clinical expertise with clear, compassionate practice systems—so you get consistent, ethical care without administrative friction.
